Sacco Fresh Ltd was incorporated on March 14th 1995 to grow, process and export fresh fruits and vegetables from Kenya. Sacco Fresh Ltd has its registered office in Nairobi Kenya about 31/2 kilometers from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, off North Airport Road.

Sacco Fresh Ltd has a staff of approximately 100 people, both permanents and seasonal employees. We believe that over 1000 people benefit directly and indirectly through our farming activities throughout the country.

In Kenya, the Horticultural sub sector is the fastest growing industry within the agricultural sector, recording an average growth of 15% to 20% per annum. It contributes positively to wealth creation, poverty alleviation, and gender equity especially in the rural areas. The industry continues to contribute to the Kenyan economy through generation of income, creation of employment opportunities for rural people and foreign exchange earnings, in addition to providing raw materials to the agro processing industry. The sub sector employs approximately 4.5 million people country wide directly in production, processing and marketing, while another 3.5 million people benefit indirectly through trade and other activities.

Kenya as a country therefore relies heavily on horticulture as a key economic engine and Sacco Fresh Ltd is part of this success story. We pride ourselves as ``quality leaders” of fresh produce exported to European destinations. The key to our success lays in the professional management and attention to detail that we give to our business right from the farm level through all the logistics involved up to ultimate delivery to our customers. All our products are sound and fresh, good to eat and are produced using techniques which do not disadvantage the environment or the people involved in the production process. At the farm level, we are certified to the GLOBALGAP Standard and our pack house operates according to the Codex Alimentarius HACCP Principles. We are the exporter of choice out of Kenya, providing to our customers unsurpassed service levels in terms of consistent product availability, timely delivery and high quality standards. Our current customers do attest to this fact.

We believe in showing respect for our employees, customers and suppliers, while conducting our business affairs honestly, fairly and with integrity. Through good agricultural practices, we ensure that facilities within our company farms and out growers as well meets the standards stated in our internal controls and standards operating procedures as well as respecting national and international food safety standards, worker Health and & Safety, Wildlife Conservation, Quality Management and Environmental Management. Such endeavors provide sustained income opportunities for farming communities and support the continued development of the Kenyan Agricultural Industry.
